Gene E. Gould, 82, of 26692 Route 3, passed Monday, January 13, at the Samaritan Medical Center.

A funeral service will be 3 p.m. Thursday, January 16, at Bruce Funeral Home, Black River. Burial will follow in Black River Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Born on June 24, 1931 in Dexter, NY, daughter of Donald Young and Lydia Madrid, she attended school in Dexter, NY.

She married Kenneth M. Gould Sr. on Nov. 9, 1985, in the town of LeRay.

Mr. Gould worked at NY Air Brake for 32 years. He passed May 8, 2013.

Mrs. Gould worked at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home for over twenty years as a nurses aid.

She was a member of the Black River American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed crocheting.

Among her survivors are a sister in law, Eloise Young, Canton and several nieces and nephews and her loving dog, Pugsie.

She is predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Keith Young and four sisters, Etta Heise, Betty Heise, Helen Messina and Shirley LeBlanc.
