Obituary

George D. Corbett Jr., age 67 of Adams, N.Y. passed away December 20th at Samaritan Medical Center. George was born February 6, 1942 in Watertown, the son of George and Harriet Merriam Sr. He graduated from Watertown High School and attended Adirondack Community College. George married Kathryn A. Busler on June 15, 1968 at St. Andrews Catholic Church of Sackets Harbor. The couple lived in Watertown for 27 years and then moved to Adams. He worked at Tyco Health Care, the former Faichney's making medical equipment. George was an avid member of South Jefferson Rescue Squad and taught CPR and 1St Aide for the Red Cross. He was also a member of the Board of Directors for "Revolution" Football Team in Watertown. He is survived by his wife Kathryn and two sons and their wives; Timothy and Jennifer of Adams and James and Jennifer of Watertown. He also has four grandchildren, two sisters Joanne Good of Watertown and Marie Corbett of Castorland, a brother Fred Corbett of Delaware and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Gary Corbett. Funeral services will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Fr. Kevin O'Brien of St. Andrews Church officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be Monday from 7-9 P.M. Donations may be made to South Jefferson Rescue Squad in Adams.
