Obituary

George H. Hasner, age 95 of Glen Park passed away Wednesday morning at Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown. George was born October 23, 1911 in Clayton, the son of Alvin C. and Amelia Delmarsh Hasner. He graduated from Clayton High School. He served in the Army during World War 11 as a sergeant with the 1461 Ordnance Maintenance Co. He served from July of 1942 until February of 1946. He married Dorothy M. Paul on June 29, 1946 at the ministers' home in Glen Park. Dorothy passed away October 31, 1977. He was a self-employed mechanic owning and operating Hasner's Garage in Glen Park. He was a life member of Glen Park Fire Dept... Surviving are two sons- George P. Hasner of Three Mile Bay and Alvin J. Hasner of Dexter. He has one grandchild and four great grandchildren. A brother Norris and a sister Alice Hasner predeceased him. Funeral services will be Saturday 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Rev. Helen Hadley, pastor of Brownville United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 Friday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Donations may be made to Glen Park Fire Dept. or Dexter Ambulance Fund.
