George M. Jones Jr., 59, of the Thousand Islands, passed Tuesday morning October 7th at his home.

He was born on May 28, 1955 in Mountain Home, Idaho, son of George M. and Florence Worner Jones Sr.  He served for over two years in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged.

He worked for the Department of Corrections at Greenhaven Correctional Facility in Stormville, NY, was promoted as a SGT at the Fulton Correctional Facility and was transferred to Fishkill Correctional Facility where he retired from in 1998.

He married Helena Reynolds on June 15, 2001 and the couple resided in the Thousand Islands.

He enjoyed traveling, going on cruises and fishing.

Among his survivors are his loving wife, Helena Reynolds, Cape Vincent; his mother, Florence Jones, Kingston, NY; a son and daughter in law, David and Danyell Jones, Wake Forest, NC; a daughter, Nancy Jones, NJ; a step daughter and her husband, Jehnifur and Eric Rogers, Port Wentworth, GA; a brother, Gregory Jones, Kingston, NY; 6 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Noon, October 12th at Christine's Restaurant 812 Ulster Ave., Kingston, NY 12401.
