Gertrude S. Nier, 70, of 110 E. Main St., Brownville, passed July 24, 2015 at the Samaritan Medical Center.  Mrs. Nier had a quadruple bypass three years ago and has battled heart complications ever since.

Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service.  A family gathering will take place at the convenience of the family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Orra W. Nier Jr., Brownville; her son, Orra W. Nier III and his companion, Suzanne Shaw, Watertown; a daughter Kimberly Sawyer, Watertown; two brothers, Danny Hirschler, CA, John Hirschler, Indiana; her sister, Elizabeth Davidson, LaFargeville, NY;  six grandchildren, Eric Osborne, Chelsea Osborne, Brittany Riener, Cecil Kirky, Brooke and Kylie Nier; a great grandson, Kaden Michael Trombley and several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Joseph and Fred Hirschler and a sister, Mary Pierce died before her.

Mrs. Nier worked at Bomax for several years.  She will be dearly missed every day.  We love you mom, grandma, great grandma, sister and aunt.
