Grace M. Pandy, 90, formerly of 336 West Main St., Curtis Apartments, Watertown, passed July 18, 2013 at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where she had been a resident.

She was born on July 10, 1923 in Black River, daughter of the late Harley and Helen Crane Carney. She graduated from Black River High School in 1941.

Grace met Lester Pandy while stationed at Camp Drum and the couple were married on November 16, 1943 at Camp Bowie, Texas. Upon his discharge from the Army the couple resided in Depew, NY for 32 years.

She worked for Curtis Air Craft ,as an inspector, for a short time. She then became a homemaker.

Mr. Pandy worked for Sattler''s Drug Store, in Buffalo, as a clerk for 32 years. He passed on February 23, 1976.

In 1988 Mrs. Pandy moved to Watertown and resided at Curtis Apartments. She was a member of the Kamargo Alumni Association, enjoyed sewing and spending time with her grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Among her survivors are two daughters and a son in law, Cheryl A. Pandy, Waddington, NY, Nanette M. and Gerard J. Pacifici, Watertown; two grandchildren, Christopher Pacifici and Erin Pacifici; five sisters, Jane Cullen, Christine Dye and Francis Amirault, all of Black River, Alice Filitrault, Carthage, Shirley Cross, Town of Rutland; several nieces and nephews.

Four sister''s, Nancy Carney, Marion Hrabchak, Blanche Bender and Sally Pelkey and her two brothers, Lloyd and Wallace Carney all passed before her.

A funeral service will be held 5 p.m. Monday July 22 at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown with Rev. Steven Murray, Pastor of Holy Family Church officiating.

Calling hours will precede the service from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at the Lancaster Rural Cemetery in Buffalo at the convenience of the family.
