Gregory Paul Anderson, 44 of 2880 S. 48th St., Yuma, AZ, died Monday in, Yuma, AZ. He was discovered by his companion John Albarran. Cause of death is pending investigation by the Medical Examiner of Yuma, Arizona. Gregory was born November 2, 1962 in Dover, Delaware the son of J. Steven and Betty L. Loomis Anderson. He graduated from Oshkosh High School in Oshkosh Wisconsin, received a bachelors degree from Syracuse University and a masters degree from Fairfield University of Connecticut. He was a Special Education Teacher in Stratford, Ct. for 12 years and moved to Yuma Arizona a year ago where he taught school at the Gadsden School District. He is survived by his companion John Albarran of Stratford, CT., his mother Betty L. Anderson of Sackets Harbor, siblings and their spouses- Mrs. Mark and Patricia Lucas of Ridgefield, CT., Steven and Rosemary Anderson of Louisville, KY., Jeffrey S. Anderson of Richmond, VA., a niece Corinne Downs of Richmond, VA., a nephew Bryan Lucas of Ridgefield, CT., and aunts and uncles and his extended family the Albarran's of Yuma, Arizona. He was predeceased by his father J. Steven Anderson September 11, 2004. A memorial service is tentatively set for 7:00P.M. at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield with Fr. Kevin O'Brien, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church of Brownville. Pending inclement weather; the service will be held at the Johnson Funeral Home at.
