Hans J. Matheis, age 46 of St. Lawrence Ave. Brownville passed away at 5:20 P.M. February 13th at the Samaritan Medical Center. He had been ill with Leukemia. Hans was born October 13, 1960 in Neunkirchen, Germany. He was the son of Raimund and Marliese Wittling Matheis. He graduated from school in Germany and served as a 1st Lieutenant in the German Army. He married Andrea Zimmerman on March 5, 1982 in Yuma, Arizona. He worked for Comp USA in Syracuse and also for a short time at Dicks' Sporting Goods in Watertown, he then returned to Comp USA where he was a computer technician. He is survived by his wife Andrea of Yumatilla, Florida and also has three sons: Christopher of Leesburg, Florida, Brandon of Eustis, Florida and Nicholas at home in Umatilla, Florida. He also has a brother Klaus Peter Matheis of Poland. There will be no calling hours or funeral. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
