Harold M. Lewis Jr., 78, passed Sunday, Oct. 20 at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where he had been a resident.

He was born on May 24, 1935 in Indiana, PA, son of Harold M. Lewis Sr. and Hallie Mack. He graduated from West Allegheny High School in Imperial, PA in 1955.

Following school he worked for farms in the PA area. He also held various jobs in Denver, CO and Watertown, NY. In 1994 he moved to Black River and resided with his mother on Burnup Road.

He married Lucille Gee of Depauville in 1972 at the Old Stone Church. She passed January 4, 1980.

He was an avid Pittsburgh, Pirates fan and loved baseball and doing puzzles.

Among his survivors are a sister, Lovina Jones, Salida, CO; two brothers and a sister in law, John and Darla Lewis of Buckeye, AZ, William Lewis of St. Mary''s OH; three stepsisters and two brothers in law, Marilyn and Gary Carlier of Chester, WV, Wendy Cannon of OH, Ruth and Frank DeWert of Black River; two stepbrothers and their wives, Jimmy and Debbie Lewis of New Port Richey, FL, William and Cheryl Mack of Bartow, FL; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct 24 at the Bruce Funeral Home 131 Maple St., Black River.

Calling hours will precede the service 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Smethport, PA at the convenience of the family.
