Hazel S. VanLuven, age 96 of Camden, N.Y. passed away Thursday afternoon at Lorettos Nursing Home, Syracuse. She was formerly of Dexter and Lafargeville. Hazel was born June 26, 1911 in Dexter. She was the daughter of Arthur and Mary Reed Galloway. She attended Dexter High School and married Frederick C. VanLuven on May 11, 1930 in Dexter. The couple lived in Lafargeville until 1973 when they moved to Camden where she was a housewife and homemaker. Mr. VanLuven passed away September 29, 1978. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Leslie and Nina VanLuven of Rochester. She also has three grandsons, one great granddaughter and several nieces, nephes and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick , a daughter Linda Beaudreau in 1955 and a brother Clifton Galloway and sister Velmay Holloway. Funeral service will be held Tuesday 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral , Dexter with the Rev. Phillip Pike of the Evangelical Wesleyan Church of Rome, N.Y. officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Friends may call I hour prior to the funeral.
