Helen J. Bartram, 90, passed Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient.

Born Jochanna Helen Pawlus in Eureka, CA, on August 16, 1923, daughter of Andrew and Mary Pawlus.

Helen lived in West Virginia and Pulaski, NY while growing up. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1942. She graduated in 1944 from the Watertown Business School of Commerce.

She went to work as an accountant at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, Pine Camp, and retired from JCC.

She married William L. Bartram Sr. in June of 1946 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Watertown.

Mr. and Mrs. Bartram moved to Duffy Rd. in Watertown in 1957. Mr. Bartram passed in 1993.

In 2005 she resided with her son and daughter in law at 17764 Cook Rd., Watertown.

She was a member of the Watertown American Legion Auxiliary.

Among her survivors are her son and daughter in law, William L. and Colleen A. Bartram Jr., Watertown; 5 grandsons, 8 great grandchildren, a sister, Mary Julia Carson, Great Bend, NY, several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Peter Pawlus and a brother in law, Stewart Carson died before her.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service. A graveside service will take place privately for the family on Friday, Oct. 25 at the Sanford Corners Cemetery.
