Howard J. Resseguie, age 80 of County Rt. 66 Watertown, passed away Monday morning at his home. He had been under the care of Hospice and his family. Howard was born June 6, 1929 in Camps Mills the son of Howard and Dora Rickett Resseguie Sr. He graduated from Sackets Harbor High School. He married Shirley Smith on November 27, 1948 at the Church of the Redeemer in Watertown. Howard was a machinist at Black Clawson until retiring in 1992. He was a member of the local machinist union, a charter member of Sackets Harbor Sportsman's Club and an avid hunter. A granddaughter April Resseguie died 1993. Surviving is his wife Shirley and two children; Mrs. Joel Sherry Derouin of Sackets Harbor and Charley Bill and Amy Resseguie of Pillar Point. He has four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Three sisters also survive him; Katherine White of Sackets Harbor, Betty Bailey of Watertown and Annabelle Houghtaling of Sackets Harbor and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home with Fr. Walter Giles officiating. Burial will be in Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County or the Sackets Harbor Ambulance Fund.
