Irene F. Hare, age 84 of Bayview Manor, Chaumont, passed away Thursday morning at her home. Irene was born November 4, 1928 in Syracuse, N.Y. the daughter of Eric and Irene Boon Hamblen. She attended school s in Watertown and married Willmott A. Hare on March 30, 1949 in Sackets Harbor. Irene was employed at Gibson Laundry in Watertown and worked at Bomax on the assembly line. She is survived by the following children: Melvin and Veleda Hare of Joliet, Illinois, Gene Hare of Daytona, FL., Michael and Carol Hare of Bangor, ME, Mark and Rebecca Hare of Adams Center, Ted and Erica Burgess of Millville, NJ, Michael and Karen Gregs of Millville, NJ, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers and sisters: William Hamblen of Virginia, Sharon Rockwood of Lowville, Carol Montressor of Parrish, Georgia Hall of Carthage and Beverly LaJuett of N. Carolina and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Willmott in February 13, 1999 and a son Wilmott Jr. in 1950, and a brother Melvin Hamblen . Funeral services will be Thursday September 26th at 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Donations may be made to the Three Mile Bay Ambulance Fund.
