Irene J. Huchzermeier, age 81 of North Syracuse, formerly of Brownville, passed away Tuesday morning at James Square Nursing Home, Syracuse. Irene was born September 24, 1925 in Watertown, the daughter of Harry and Marth Groth Andrews. She attended local schools and married Jack O. Huchzermeier September 24, 1951 at Asbury Methodist Church in Watertown. The couple lived in Brownville and moved to North Syracuse where they resided. Mr. Huchzermeier died July 24, 1994. Irene was a hairdresser for many years operating from her home and also a shop in North Syracuse. She is survived by a sister Johanna Groth of Rochester, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Dorothy Andrews and a brother Edward Andrews. A funeral service will be held Friday 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
