Jackie L. Ashley, 50, of 27757 County Rt. 32 Evans Mills, passed August 24, 2016 at the Samaritan Medical Center following a lifetime battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 28 at the Bruce Funeral Home 131 Maple St., Black River.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 29 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Evans Mills Cemetery.

Born on August 11, 1966 in Watertown, daughter of William E. and Mary E. Gardner Ashley, she attended school in Carthage.

She enjoyed raising and caring for her animals, she loved music, keeping her vehicles shiny and clean, fixing bicycles, building models, puzzles and drawing.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.  Anyone who knew her loved her and had lots of laughs.

Among her survivors are her four sisters and four brothers in law, Bonnie J. Ashley, Calcium, Linda L. and Donald C. Weatherwax, Antwerp, Lou Anne and Edward J. Charlton, Pamelia, Tina M. and Ken I. Mitchell, Carthage, Gerry R. Walts, Evans Mills; two sisters in law, Judy and Anne Ashley; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and her beloved dog Buster "Barry".

Two brothers, David E. and George C. Ashley and a sister, Sharon M. Ashley all died before her.
