James L. Dwyer, age 72 of Syracuse passed away Saturday morning at University Hospital. James was born July 4, 1939 in Theresa, N.Y. the son of Leo and Winifred Ward Dwyer. He resided in Syracuse where he worked as a mechanic at several bowling lanes until ill health forced him to retire. He is survived by his mother Winifred of Central Square, sisters: Karen Cole of Syracuse, Linda and Robert Hurley of Adams Center, Veronica and James Revette o Central Square. Children: Charlene, David, James 2nd, James 3rd, Bobbie Mae, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A sister Cynthia Dwyer predeceased him in 1973. A memorial mass will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church of Brownville. Burial will follow in Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 10-11:00 prior to the mass at Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
