James J. Jones, 52, of 119 Stuart St., Watertown, passed unexpectedly at his home on February 25, 2018.

The funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Friday, March 2 at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, 117 N. Massey St., Watertown.

A calling hour will precede the service on Friday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

The burial will take place in the spring at N. Watertown Cemetery.

He was born on December 27, 1965 in Watertown, son of Lloyd and Sally (Morin) Dumas.  He attended Watertown schools.

He was like a big brother to his nieces and nephews and was known as uncle Jimbo. He was a kind and giving person and was willing to help anyone. Jim was liked by so many people and had many friends.

He was a self employed contractor in the Watertown area for many years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, and was an avid gardener.

Among his survivors are his companion, Bev Root, Watertown, two daughters, Jamie Jones Carter, VA, Makayla Jones, four sons, Jimmy Jones Jr., Matthew, Justin and Joshua Jones, two step sons, Jordan and Neal, a grandson, Cameron, five sisters and four brothers in law, Debra and Jeffrey McIntosh, Watertown, Cindy and Merlin Wenger, OK, Barbara and Brian Earl, Watertown, Ann and Richard Volpe, Watertown, Alice Morrison, AR, two brothers and their wives, Walter and Jane Powell, IN and George and Linda Jones, Australia, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
