Jason M.
Lavere
October 31, 1978 – November 5, 2017
Jason M. LaVere, 39, of 453 Gaffney Dr., Watertown, passed November 5, 2017 at his home.
A Celebration of Life will be held Noon, Friday, November 10 at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home 117 N. Massey St., Watertown.
A calling hour will be 11 A.M. to Noon, Friday prior to the celebration at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in N. Watertown Cemetery.
He was born on October 31, 1978, in Watertown, son of Kenneth J. LaVere and Kathy A. LaRose.
Jason entered Jefferson Rehabilitation Center at three months old and resided there until he was five years old. During those five years Jason made huge strides through the dedication of the agency, programs and staff that work there. Jason then moved to a residential facility at 453 Gaffney Dr., in 1991 and continued to grow with the love and dedication of the staff that work within these houses.
Jason was a huge flirt, loved watching people, going to church, bowling, watching TV, going on outings, and playing Wheel of Fortune on his I pad. Even though Jason was non-verbal he had a way about him that let everyone who was blessed to know him show them how much he loved them by doing what he was most famous for his hugs and kisses. Jason loved his family but he loved his JRC family more. Truly Jason was a blessing in disguise.
Among his survivors are his mother and step father, Kathy A. and Keith A. Murphy, Watertown, his father and his companion, Kenneth J. LaVere and Sue Foreman, Watertown, paternal grandmother, Charlotte McConnell, Watertown, sister and brother in law, Jamie L. and Andrew Thomas, Watertown, step brother and his wife, Brian P and Terri Murphy, Watertown, two step sisters, Brandi L. Murphy, MD and Tiffany R. Murphy, Binghamton, NY, two uncles, David LaVere and Carl McConnell and an aunt, Sylvia McConnell, nieces and nephews.
