Obituary

Jean E. Silberling, 71 of Liverpool passed away at Highland Hospital Hospice Facility in Rochester on February 2nd. Her affection for her beloved husband Howard will guide her as she completes her journey. Jean was born on July 26, 1940 in Brownville, the daughter of John G. and Bernetta Charest Gunn. She graduated from General Brown High School and married Howard Silberling in 1961. She was a homemaker and was very active at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Phoenix, N. Y. and enjoyed caring for her family and supported other mothers. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Richard Kuhn of Geneseo, a son Scott Silberling, grandchildren Jarrod, Regan and Jaden and a brother Larry Gunn of Dexter nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Howard, her mother Bernetta and a brother John "Jack" Gunn. Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, Brownville on Monday February 6th at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Kevin O'Brien officiating. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter- prior to the service. Donations may be made to Highland Hospital Hospice Program 1000 South Ave. Rochester, N.Y. 14620.
