Jeanne Washburn, 95, passed March 1, 2017 at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where she had been a resident.

Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service.  The burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in the spring.

Born on March 21, 1921 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of Adolph and Marguerite (Babineau) Le Blanc, she attended school in New Brunswick, Canada.  Following school she served in the Canadian Army for a short time and was stationed in Montreal.

She married Harry W. Washburn, of Watertown, on January 6, 1948 in Watertown.   The couple continued to reside in Watertown where she was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking.

Mr. Washburn worked at NY Air Brake, in the foundry for over 35 years, retiring in 1968.  He passed October 3, 1994.

Among her survivors are her two sons and their wives, Brian and Karen Washburn, Canton, NY, Gary and Susan Washburn, Boise, Idaho and Henderson Harbor, NY; two sisters and their husbands, Dorice and Leo LeBlanc, Ruth and Donald Donelle,  Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada; five grandchildren, Christopher, Elizabeth, Courtney, Trevor, and Barry; several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by three brothers, Adolphe, Edouard and Henri LeBlanc; seven sisters, Yvonne Allain, Stella LeBlanc, Emelie Richard, Lucy Marcotte, Zelma Doiron, Eveline LeBlanc and Juliette LeBlanc.
