Jerry A. Bresette, 66, of 315 N. California Ave., Watertown, passed September 2, 2014 at the Samaritan Medical Center.

Born on July 24, 1948 in Plattsburg, NY son of John and Dora (Hackett) Bresette, he graduated from Keeseville High School.

Mr. Bresette entered the US army in 1965 and served twenty three years, retiring in August of 1988 from Fort Drum.

He married Linda Nickerson of Keeseville, NY on October 21, 1972.  She passed June 29, 2008.

He is a life time member of the Watertown VFW Post 1400 and a member of the Watertown American Legion.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR and hanging out with his best buddy Iseiah.

Among his survivors are a son and daughter in law, Dale A. and Heather L. Bresette, Watertown; two daughters and a son in law, Cheryl A. David, West Chazy, NY Dawn L. and Thomas G. Bauschke, Watertown; six grandchildren, Jordan, Arielle, Rochelle, Mikayla, Kaitlyn, Cody; two great grandchildren, Iseiah and Aubrey Rose; six brothers and one sister.

Besides his wife, three brothers and two sisters pass before him.

Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Mr. Bresette will be cremated and a graveside service will be 1p.m. Saturday, September 6 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Keeseville, NY.  A luncheon will follow at 2 p.m. at the Keeseville VFW.
