John H. Nickerson, 57, of 1111 Kieff Dr., passed December 10, 2014 at the Samaritan Medical Center.

Born on October 13, 1957, in Watertown, NY, son of Franklin and Stella Boyce Nickerson, he attended Watertown High School.

Mr. Nickerson worked construction for several years in the Watertown area up until he became disabled.  He enjoyed watching wrestling on TV and spending time with his family.

He married Dawn M .Cramer on February 14, 1993 in Watertown.  Dawn currently works at JC Penny's at the Salmon Run Mall.

Among his survivors are his loving wife, Dawn M. Nickerson, Watertown; three daughters and a son in law, Sherry Ely, Dorene and Steven Walters and Natalie Nickerson, all of Watertown; four brothers and a sister in law, Thomas Nickerson, Watertown, Martin Nickerson, Watertown, Wesley Nickerson, Cortland, Donald and Donna Nickerson, Dallas, TX; a sister and brother in law, Susan and Ronald Monroe, Utica, NY; seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A son, John F. Nickerson; two brothers, Franklin and William Nickerson and a sister, Barbara Shaffer all passed before him.

A funeral mass will be held 11 AM Monday, December 15 at the Sacred Heart Church.  Burial will take place in the spring at the Brookside Cemetery.  There will be no calling hours.
