DEXTER, NY – Jolie A. Stage, 51, of Dexter, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, surrounded by her loving family.

Jolie was born on April 19, 1975, in Watertown, New York, the daughter of John M. and Cynthia A. (Scottebo) Stage. She graduated from General Brown High School in 1992 before attending Jefferson Community College and continuing her education at a college in Wyoming. She later earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting online.

Jolie dedicated her career to accounting and payroll, working for several local companies before joining Performance Contracting, Inc. in 2014. She began her employment with the company in Albany, New York, as the Business Office Manager and later relocated with the company to Tennessee, where she continued in that role for ten years. She returned home in 2024 to reside in Dexter.

Jolie had a passion for gardening, cooking and baking, reading, swimming, and charity road races. She loved listening to rock music and Broadway musicals, enjoyed fashion, hosting parties, and was always excited to try something new. She loved relaxing in nature, watching the water, sunsets, and all the critters in her yard. Jolie's true loves were her family, puppies, and her daughter most of all. Her bright smile and unforgettable laugh would light up the room.

She is survived by her husband, David Lee of Clifton Park, New York; her daughter, Sydnie B. Plamondon and her fiancé, Max D. Caplan, of Adams, New York; her parents, John M. and Cynthia A. Stage of Chaumont, New York; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ellen (Curtis) Gallamore of Dexter and Meri Stage and her partner, Justin Kirch, of Stuart, Florida; her two beloved dogs, Mari and Doug; her niece and godchild, Ashlie Machnaigh of Dexter, NY; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown. In keeping with Jolie’s wishes, cremation will take place, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
