Kathleen Loughery Kathleen Loughery age 99 of Brownville passed away Wednesday afternoon at St. Joseph's Nursing Home, Ogdensburg. She has been a patient there for the past four years. Kathleen was born November 2, 1906 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Patrick and Johanna Haley McHugh. She attended school in Wilkes Barre and married Kenneth Loughery on January 6, 1935 at St. Mary's Church in Wilkes Barre. The couple moved to Newark, New Jersey where she worked as a secretary for St. Rosa Lima Parish in Newark. After the death of her husband she moved back to Wilkes Barre until 1996 when she moved to Brownville with her son. She is survived by two children and their spouses. Mrs. James Louise A. Berube of Owego, N.Y. and Robert and Roberta Loughery of Brownville. She has seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday at St. Patricks Catholic Church of Watertown. Fr. Arthur LaBaff will officiate. Burial will be on Monday at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, New Jersey. Calling hours will be Friday from 7-9 pm at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
