Kathryn M. Erney, 91, of Dolgeville, passed away 11:20 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Folts Nursing Home, Herkimer. Born Dec. 13, 1921, in Dexter, the daughter of Russell and Gladys Creamer Desmore, she graduated from Dexter High School. She married Andrew Erney on July 10, 1942, in Dexter. Kathryn was a secretary at Hopson Luther Harper Insurance, Inc., of Dolgeville for many years. Surviving are four children, Mrs. Donn (Linda) Ashe, Dolgeville, David A. Erney, Dolgeville, Paula Eggleston, St. Johnsville, N.Y. and Mrs. Anthony (Gaye) Hawley, Medley, England; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her husband Andre died in 1995. Two sisters, Evelyn Cean and Doris Desmore, also died before her. A funeral will be held noon Thursday, April 26, at Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Rev. Nelson Stafford officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
