Kenneth Lewis Monica, 75,  formerly of Watertown and a resident at the Crown Park Rehabilitaion Center & Nursing Home passed February 17, 2017.

Calling hours will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, February 19 at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.  The funeral service will follow on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in the N. Watertown Cemetery in the spring.

Born on May 20, 1941 in Watertown, son of Oliver and Viola (Rivers) Monica, he graduated from WHS.

He married Jane Pharoah in 1963 at St. Paul's Catholic Church and the couple resided in Watertown.  Mrs. Monica passed June 21, 1994.

Mr. Monica retired from the City of Watertown following a career as a heavy equipment operator.

He enjoyed buying new trucks and cars, loved his four dobermans, Ruger, Abby, Zelda and Tyson and most of all spending time with his daughter Beverly whom he loved very much.

Among his survivors are his three daughters, Lisa I. Lowes and her companion Ernie Narrow, Ruth Jones and her companion Frank, Beverly J. Monica, all of Watertown; his wife's children, Joanne and Paul Kaune, Jeff Bevens, Joan Ubriaco and June Bevens; seven grandchildren, Jason Lowes, Matthew Lowes, Kenneth C. Hankins, Anthony Ubriaco, Ryan Kaune, David Willis, Elizabeth Willis; several great grandchildren; a brother, James Monica, Watertown; a sister, Kay Martin, Watertown, several nieces and nephews.

He predeceased by four brothers, Carl, Howard, Oliver and Elmer Monica and three sisters, Jean Kelsey, Shirley Williams and Evelyn Robinson.
