Kipp William Doane, age 59 of Round Rock, Texas and formerly of Dexter, N.Y. died at U.C. Irvine Medical Center, Santa Ana, California on Friday evening. He had been a patient one day. Kipp was born November 6, 1949 in Watertown, the son of Ralph and Anne Doane. He graduated from General Brown High School in 1967 and served in the Army in 1968 until honorably discharged in 1971. He graduated from Syracuse Science Center in 1985 as a heart/lung profusionist and has worked for several heart teams across the U.S. and Canada for 24 years. Kipp married Kathaleen Pricilla Jardin on August 16, 1974 at the Presbyterian Church in Dexter. They have two children. A daughter Kendra DeKeyrel and her husband Mitch and a son Kipp W. Doane II all residing in Round Rock, Texas. He has three grandchildren; Connor, Maya and Macy. Surviving also is his mother Anne Doane and sister Kathy Hogan of Dexter. His mother-in-law Pricilla Jardin of Dexter, and sister-in-laws Mrs. Rex Sharon Satchwell of Dexter, Nancy Jardin of Dexter, Susan Placito of Syracuse and a brother-in-law Ken and Mary Ann Jardin of Syracuse. Several nieces, nephews, an aunt and uncle Mary Lou and Ed Shaughnessy of Watertown also survive. He was predeceased by his father Ralph Doane in 1994 and a brother Kerry Doane in 1996. Kipp was a member of Smith Savage Post 583 American Legion and Rustic Golf Club, Dexter. He enjoyed golf, crossword puzzles and spending time with his family. He was an avid Giants Fan. A celebration of Kipp's life will be Sunday, April 26th from 1-4 P.M. at the American Legion in Dexter. In lieu of flowers,donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
