Larry A. Rose, 70, of 130 Court St., Watertown, NY, passed Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown. Burial will follow in the East Pitcairn Cemetery with military honors. Born Oct. 9, 1946, in Massena, NY, a son of John W. and Betty Remore Rose, he graduated from Carthage High School in 1966. He entered the US Army in 1966 and served in Vietnam.  He was honorably discharged in 1968. Mr. Rose worked for Fort Drum as a laborer for 11 years from 1969 to 1980. He then worked at Hoyt's and Regal Theaters at the Salmon Run Mall for 17 years, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed fishing and collecting movies. Among his survivors are two brothers, Kevin and Dan Rose and a cousin, Elaine Prow of Watertown. A brother Albert Rose passed before him. Donations may be made to the Watertown Urban Mission.
