Laura "Alice" Walker, age 93 of Witt Rd. Dexter passed away in Orange City Florida Thursday evening May 30th. Alice was born May 17, 1920 in Nappanee, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Albert and Aletha Luffman Salter. She attended school in LaFargeville and Watertown. Alice married Frederick E. Walker on June 20, 1942 in Watertown. She was a home-maker and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Watertown and enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her husband Frederick and four children: Gary Walker of Deland, Florida, Richard Walker and his companion Katrina Drelick of Carthage, Ronald and Lori Walker of Three Mile Bay, Nancy Patchen and her husband Paul of Depauville. She also has several grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters: Beverly Shaw of Watertown and Sandra Pruett of Virginia, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Robert in January of this year, a daughter-in-law Janet Walker, brothers: Howard, Ralph, Robert, Carl and James Salter and sisters :Edna Sanford, Wilma Ingalls and Betty Adams. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7-9 P.M. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
