DeVito
Lewis F. DeVito, 64, formerly of Watertown, passed away on March 15, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lewis was born on July 11, 1961, in Watertown, New York, the son of the late Eugene and Sallie (Kenyon) DeVito. He attended Indian River Central School and later served his country in the United States Army Reserve for six years.
A previous marriage to Robin DeVito ended in divorce. They owned various businesses throughout the north county such as Shaker’s Deli, The Candy and Nut House, Watertown, Robin’s Conery, Carthage and DeVito‘s Enterprises Mobile Home Park, Great Bend, NY.
After leaving Northern New York, Lewis relocated to Las Vegas where he met his companion, Chrisy Cruz. Before separating they had four children together Samuel, Morgan, Sally and Luke. Lewis embraced the vibrant lifestyle of the city. He worked as a casino technician and was also employed by various companies specializing in the setup and opening of new retail stores. He enjoyed the excitement of Las Vegas life, including playing the slot machines, gambling, and spending time with friends while enjoying his drinks and cigarettes .
Lewis is survived by his children, Samuel, Morgan, Sally, and Luke DeVito; his siblings, Vickie and David Olney of Copenhagen, NY, Eugene DeVito of Georgia, Jeff and Doreen DeVito of Michigan, Maria and Ken West of Watertown, and Jay DeVito of Watertown; two nieces, Kylie Olney and Lindsey Cean ; and three nephews, Brandon, Jeffrey Jr. and Thomas DeVito a Great nephew Dominic and Great niece Kaelyn.
Local arrangements are entrusted to Hart & Bruce Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
