Lewis R. Spencer, age 64 of Antwerp, N.Y. passed away Monday morning at Samaritan Medical Center. Lewis was born July 12, 1948 in Cape Vincent, the son of Reginald and Mildred Carter Spencer. He attended school in Cape Vincent and graduated from General Brown High School. Lewis worked for VanTassel Moving and Storage until he became disabled. Lewis married Laura L. Jobson on August 14, 1993 in Watertown. The couple lived in Watertown, Philadelphia and recently moved to Antwerp. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He is survived by his wife Laura, the following children: Vicki Spencer address unknown, Gregory Spencer of Nevada, Angela Spencer of Watertown, Preston Spencer of Adams, Tia Spencer of Watertown. He has 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He also has the following brothers and sisters: Anna Grossnickel of Parish, Grant Spencer of Florida, Linda Stitt of Webster, Richard Spencer of Parish, Robert Gamble of Altmire, and Larry Spencer of Dexter. He was predeceased by a son Lewis Spencer the 2nd, brothers Ronald Spencer, James Spencer, Daniel Spencer and Roy Gamble. Funeral services will be Friday 3:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Rev. Gail Parsons officiating. Calling hours will be from 1-3 P.M. prior to the service.
