Linda J. Wager, 73, of 23962 NYS Rt.37, Watertown, passed March 27, 2017 at her home.

A Memorial Service will be held 4 p.m. Friday, March 31, at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.   Visitation will precede the service beginning at 3 p.m.

Born on November 8, 1943 in Gouverneur, NY, daughter of the late George and Willabelle E. (Dickson) Brown, she graduated from Indian River High School in 1961.  She attended Canton College and later graduated from Jefferson Community College with an Associate's Degree.

She married John A. Wager on June 13, 1964 in Philadelphia, NY and the marriage was later blessed at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.

Linda worked as a secretary for Mutual of NY Insurance Co., Travelers Insurance Co. and retired from JJ Stockers in Watertown.

She enjoyed gardening, spending time at the camp in Clayton and had an avid interest in homemaking.

Among her survivors are her loving husband, John A. Wager, Watertown; a son and daughter in law, John C. and Sharon L. Wager, Syracuse; her daughter and son in law, Karin L. and Richard C. Dorr, Watertown; four grandchildren, Brendan, Paige, Ashley and Nicholas; and a sister in law and her husband, Lucinda and John Carney, Niagara Falls and several nieces and nephews.
