Obituary

Lloyd D. Lundquist,83 of County route 143 Black River, passed away at his home Tuesday afternoon Sept. 8th under the care of Hospice and his family. Born March 13, 1932 in Brandan , Minnesota. The son of Benjamin and Loretta Hess Lundquist. In 1955 he entered the Armed Forces where he served in the Korean War. He retired with a Honorable Discharge on November 30, 1989 from Fort Drum with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3rd Class. He married Eva Pepe on February 14, 1989. She predeceased him in April of 2002. He married Karen Waite Oatman on August 14, 2003 in Lowville. He was a member of the VFW in Minnesota. He is survived by his wife, Karen; a son Avery, Petersburg, Virginia and a daughter John (Anita) Khin , Marietta, Georgia ; 2 grand children Charlie and Alex Khin ;a sister Dale ( Janice) Peterson, Detroit Lake, Minnesota; a good friend, Pete. He is predeceased by 2 brothers Kenneth and Donald. Lloyd enjoyed his 1931 coupe and loved his cats Sam , Smokey, Stewart, and Sassy. He also was a huge NASCAR fan. A graveside service with military honors will be held Monday, September 14, 2015 at 11 A.M. at the Dexter Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Donations can be made to Hospice of Jefferson County.
