Obituary

Lois S. Weaver, 88 of Rte 12E. Chaumont, passed away at Samaritan Keep Home Sunday morning. Lois was born April 28, 1928 in Syracuse the only child of Russell Sherman and Dorothy Gile. She graduated from Watertown School of Commerce and was employed as a secretary at Agricultural Insurance Co. Following her marriage to Martin F. Weaver on May 15, 1954 the couple moved to Massena where Lois worked for the company building the Long Sault Dam. They later moved back to Watertown and in 1971 moved to Chaumont. Lois was a member of All Saints Catholic Church Altar and Rosary Society for many years. She was also a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church of Brownville; following where her daughter was playing the organ. She was very devoted to her family. Lois is survived by her husband Martin, three sons and a daughter: Joseph and Genie Weaver of Lake Bonaparte, David and Jo Weaver of Central Square, Gary and Diane Weaver of Gouverneur, Linda and David Raville of Chaumont. She has 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A funeral mass is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church Brownville on Saturday September 10th with Fr. Michael Gaffney officiating. A calling hour will be at the church an hour before the mass. Burial will be in New Cedar Grove Cemetery, Chaumont.
