Lorene M. Getman, 94 of Church St. Glen Park; passed away Tuesday April 29, 2015 at Summitt Village, Watertown. Lorene was born March 15, 1921 in Watertown the daughter of Andrew and Fannie Windover Butler. She attended school in Watertown. On June 5, 1943 she married Earl C. Getman in Mineral Wells, Texas. Mr. Getman passed away August 3, 1982. Lorene worked at Faichney's in Watertown, Agricultural Insurance in Watertown and later in the Circulation Dept. at the Watertown Daily Times. She was a member of Dexter United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, Glen Park Fire Auxiliary, Brownville Busy BeeGees, and a former member of the Legion Auxiliary. Lorene enjoyed baking, especially large wedding cakes, gardening, spending time with the grandchildren and was very active in her church. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands: Barbara and David Compeau and Beverly and David Dasno all of Glen Park. She has four grandchildren and six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews. She is predeceased by a brother Arthur and a brother Eugene Butler. Funeral services will be Friday May 1st at 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Pastor Sally Buyea officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 12:00 to 2:00 prior to the se3rvice. Donations may be made to the Dexter United Methodist Church or the Glen Park Fire Dept.
