Lyndon L. McConnell, 78 of Dexter passed away Friday at Samaritan Medical Center. Lyndon was born August 21, 1938 in Adams Center the son of Albert and Lila Thomas McConnell. He was educated in Adams Center. He married Judith A. Gravelle on May 26, 1958 in Adams. Lyndon was a truck driver working for Marcy, Buck, Skyler, Deluxe, Seaway and retired from Consolidated Freight in 1998. He was a member of Local 687 Teamsters Union, Dexter Senior Citizens, Brownville and Sackets Harbor Senior Citizens, Black River and Dexter Historical Societies, Dexter United Methodist Church. Lyndon is survived by his wife Judith, a daughter Lori McConnell, two grandsons, three granddaughters, three great grandsons, and one great granddaughter, a sister Susie Calhoun of Watertown and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Sheryl Clearo in 1993. He was also predeceased by five brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be Tuesday September 13th at 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Calling hours will be from 9-11 am prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
