(Ames) Linstruth
January 6, 1921 – April 25, 2014
Madeline J. Linstruth, 93, formerly of Black River, NY, passed April 25, 2014 at the Villaspring Adult Home in Erlanger, Kentucky where she has resided since September 2011.
She was born on January 6, 1921 in Rutland, NY, daughter of Oscar and Ada Ames, she graduated from Black River High School.
She married Clarence Linstruth on September 19, 1945.
The couple resided in Black River where she was a homemaker. Her husband, Clarence passed in February of 1968.
She moved to Kentucky in 2003 to be closer to her son.
Among her survivors are her son and daughter in law, Peter J. and Dianne L. Linstruth, KY; three grandsons, Derek J. Linstruth, Peter Scott Linstruth, Jesse Linstruth; five great grandchildren, Oliver, Owen, Jake, David and Sarah; several nieces and nephews.
A son David Linstruth, a sister, Helena Ames and four brothers, Robert, Vernon, Russell and Howard Ames all died before her.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, at the Bruce Funeral Home, Black River with her grandson, Jesse Linstruth officiating.
A calling hour will precede the service 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Black River Cemetery.
