Marion W. Lamon, age 83 of Dexter passed away Thursday February 10th at Samaritan Keep Home at 10:30 a.m. Marion was born March 12, 1927 in Watertown, the daughter of Alpha and Alice Weaver Walrath. She graduated from Chaumont High School in 1944 and the Rochester School of Cosmetology. Marion married Gilbert Lamon on November 24, 1954 at Hope Presbyterian Church in Watertown. Mr. Lamon died April 12, 1976. Marion owned and operated M&M Beauty Shop at her home and worked until her health failed her. She was a member St. Paul's' Episcopal Church of Brownville, Dexter Fire Dept. Ladies Aux., and was an advisor of the Junior Fire Dept. of Dexter. She is survived by five children; Mark and Lee Ann Lamon of Holland, PA, Diane E. Lamon of Dexter, Michelle and Herb Adams of Fredonia, Kansas, Anita and Mark DeVito of Limerick and Rae L. Lamon of Dexter. She has seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday 1:00 P.M. at St. Paul's' Episcopal Church in Brownville . Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Donations may be made to St. Paul's' Episcopal Church, The Alzheimer's Assoc. or 8th Floor of Samaritan Keep Home.
