Mark E. Hilts, age 60 of Chaumont, passed away Saturday afternoon at Samaritan Medical Center. Mark was born March 20, 1952 in Watertown, the son of Arthur and Blanche Swain Hilts. He graduated from Lyme Central School. He was a truck-driver for several companies and was last employed by Fed-Ex of Watertown. He is survived by a daughter Angela Schaber of Watertown, grandchildren Kaelina Hilts and Heleina Schaber of Watertown, his father Arthur Hilts Sr. of Chaumont, a brother Arthur and Maryann Hilts Jr. of Chaumont, sisters: Sharon Chambers of Watertown, Linda Henderson of Lafargeville and Mrs. Christopher (Robin) Sayyeau of Chaumont. Also nieces and nephews survive. He was predeceased by his mother Blanche and brothers Richard and Bruce Hilts. A private graveside service will be held at Dexter Cemetery.
