Mary L. Coughlin, age 90 of Watertown and formerly of Dexter, passed away Saturday afternoon at Samaritan Keep Home. Mary was born August 19, 1923 in Belfort, N.Y. the daughter of Frank and Imogene Diccob Kirch. She graduated from Lowville Academy and on July 14, 1942 she married Leonard J. Coughlin in Lowville. The couple lived in North Syracuse, Cedar Rapids, Michigan, Macon Georgia and after retirement moved to Pillar Point. Mary was a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband Leonard J. Coughlin of Watertown, a son Patrick and hs wife Samantha of San Diego, Calif., two daughters: Kathy and John Nardi of Babylon, N.Y. and Erin and Glenn Hollowell of Homer, Alaska. She also has six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Leonard John Coughlin in 1992, brothers Chester, Henry, Sherwood, Lawrence, James, Max, Gerald, Harold and Charles Kirch and her sister Hilda Flint. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Fr. Michael Gaffney of Immaculate Conception Church officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
