Mary A. Hamlin, age 73 of North Shore Rd. Pillar Point passed away Sunday morning at Samaritan Medical Center where she has been a patient since September 18th. Mary was born January 14, 1939 in Watertown, the daughter of Francis and Marion Busto Weston. She graduated from Watertown High School. Mary was married to Albert Greer in 1958 and following his death she later married Richard F. Hamlin on October 14, 1977 in Watertown. Mr. Hamlin died January 27, 2008. Mary was a child-care provider at Jefferson County Children's Home in Watertown She is survived by the following children and their spouses: Richard and Susan Hamlin of Carthage, Jerry and Kelly Hamlin of Clayton, Michael Greer of Dexter, Judy and Roger Sorrell of Dexter, Laura Greer of Dexter and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also is survived by sisters and brothers: Raymond Weston of Watertown, Myrna and Albert Jobson of Dexter, Frances Dashnaw of Plattsburgh, Ann and Roy Bullard of Dexter, Edward Weston of Dexter, Melvin and Tammy Weston of Rochester, Mary LaSage, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Daniel on September 25, 2012 and daughter Christine September 18, 1996. Funeral services will be Wednesday 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Rev. Patricia Walz of Dexter United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from Noon til 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Donations may be made to the Children's Home of Watertown or the Alzheimer's Association.
