Mary Anne "Polly" Yott, 71, of Three Mile Bay, passed away 1:18 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at her home. She had been under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County. Born Dec. 13, 1940, in Watertown, the daughter of Sherwood and Margaret Wolfe Mucklewee, she graduated from Lyme Central School. She married Charles V. Yott Sr. on June 16, 1962, at Three Mile Bay United Methodist Church. Polly was a Registered Nurse who worked for Dr. Heady in Clayton, Cape Vincent Correctional Institution and was a nursing supervisor at Samaritan Medical Center when she retired in 2011. She was a member of Three Mile Bay United Methodist Church, Ladies Auxiliary Three Mile Bay Fire Dept., Lions Club, Eastern Stars and was a former Tax Assessor and Town Councilwoman for Town of Lyme. Surviving are four children, Katrina Countryman and Jeff Jones, Dexter, Krista Yott, Chaumont, Charles Jr. and Catherine, Watertown, and Chad Yott, Three Mile Bay; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Jim and Marylou Mucklewee, East Aurora, Robert and Maryln Dailey, Charlotte, N.C., Rosemary and Christopher Gilbert, Burrville, Jennie Murphy, Watertown, John Johnston and Jerry Countryman, Hardyville, S.C., Alfred and Rose McAvoy, LaFargeville. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Yott Sr., on Oct. 13, 2007, and a sister, Betty Broadmax, in 1974. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Three Mile Bay United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Pierce officiating. Burial will be in New Cedar Grove Cemetery, Chaumont. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 23, at Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Donations may be made to the Three Mile Bay United Methodist Church in her memory.
