Mary A. Thompson, age 88 formerly of Sackets Harbor; passed away Tuesday morning at VanDuyn Nursing Home in Syracuse where she has resided since 2008. Mary was born May 11, 1929 in Watertown the daughter of William and Hazel Morris Sullivan.  She graduated from Watertown High School.  She married John Thompson on December 23, 1951 in Greenwich, RI. Mr. Thompson passed away in February of 1961. Mary is survived by two children: Sonja Thompson and her husband John Tuttle of Syracuse, Mark Thompson of Sackets Harbor.  Five grandchildren, a brother Milton Sullivan of Adams and a sister Sharon Sixberry of Alabama also survive. She was predeceased by a daughter Marlene and a son Jeff Thompson. There will be a private burial following her cremation at Lakeside Cemetery, Sackets Harbor.  There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.  Online condolences may be made to dexterfuneralhome.com.
