Maynard J. Jantzi,  78, of 245 East Main St., Brownville, passed Sunday, 
November 20, 2016 at home in Brownville. 
 
Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.  There will be no calling 
hours or funeral service. 
 
 Maynard was born February 12, 1938 in Lowville, NY, son of the late Mahlon and  
Ruth (Ressler) Jantzi, he attended Lowville Academy. 
 
Following school he worked on a local farm in Lowville.  He then worked in 
Denver and NYS holding various jobs before he became a construction welder for 
most of his working years throughout the United States for various companies.  
 
He married Wilma Theander of Denver, the marriage ended in divorce.  He then 
married Jean Cranson in May 4 of 1987. The couple resided in Brownville. 
 
He is survived by his wife: Jean Jantzi of Brownville, 7 children, 3 step 
children,3 brothers, Wilbur and Florence Jantzi, Lyle and Shirley Jantzi, 
Lawrence Jantzi, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 
 
He had two children, two stepchildren, and two sisters all died before him. 
 
He was an avid Denver Broncos football fan, collecting sports memorabilia, and 
woodworking.
