Michael Bacon 62 of Tennessee, formerly of Black River, passed away July 15th after being stricken at home. He was born March 25th 1964 in Watertown, NY to the late Catherine Bacon.

After graduating from Carthage Central High School, he spent time in Texas working on oil rigs and construction. Upon returning to New York, he continued his career as a truck driver, most recently with Anderson Trucking Services.

He was preceded by his mother Catherine Bacon and his mother and father-in-law Emily and Gary Hoppe. As well as his maternal grandparents. As well as his Aunt Patricia.

He is survived by his wife Christine of Tennessee as well as two sons. Alan Bacon and his wife Blythe of Pilar Point, NY and Scott Bacon and his wife Katilyn of Carthage, NY. Four step children Elizabeth Kilbourn of Tennessee, Anthony Persha and his wife Liz of Great Bend, NY, Jamie Straw and her husband Rob of Tennessee, and Kenneth Clark of NY. He is also survived by a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Stephanie and Joe Hamilton and their two sons Caleb and Austin of Black River New York. As well as his cousin John Countryman and his wife Karen and several cousins from Texas.

Eleven grandchildren Michael, Nathen, Jocelyn, Maverick, Sydnie, Braydn, Caydence, Addilynn, Grayson, Jacob, and Silas. He had one adopted granddaughter Kali and Valerie who he always thought of as a daughter. As well as his family of truck drivers.

There will be a celebration of life in NY to be announced at a later date. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Black River Ambulance Squad.
