Mildred R. Chrissley(Millie) passed away November 15, 2017 at Seasons Assisted Living Facility in Largo, Florida. Mildred was born October 2, 1920 in Theresa, New York daughter of William and Katherine Bartram. Mildred was a long time resident of Watertown, graduating from Watertown High School in 1938. She had lived in Florida the past 27 years living with her son William the last 8 years prior to going to Seasons in February 2017. Mildred returned to her summer residence at Silver Shores, Sackets Harbor, every summer through 2016. Mildred worked for The Watertown City School district as a teacher assistant and library assistant for many years. She retired in 1982 from Sherman Street School.

Mildred and her husband worked together on many projects, building their home on Holcomb Street and cottage at Silver Shores. She loved to travel, seeing much of Europe, Canada and the United States. Mildred was on bowling leagues for many years and later in her life she became an avid golfer. She enjoyed crocheting mile a minute afghans and knitting mittens. She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church and a life time member of Beta Sigma Phi. Family was of utmost importance to her. There were many meals shared with family at her home and dessert was always a must have. She was a wonderful baker and truly enjoyed baking. Mildred always baked an array of Christmas cookies for the holiday and the traditional Thanksgiving dinner for all to share was important to her.

She will be remembered lovingly by all, but especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She leaves behind 4 children; sons Kenneth (SueZann), Powell, Wyoming, Dean (Ann) Dexter, NY, William(Wendy) Largo, Florida, and a daughter Cheryl(John) Clark, Adams, NY.

She was Nana to eleven grandchildren; Tracey, Ipswich, England, Wendi, Powell, Wyoming, Jason, Adams Center NY, Jennifer, Oregon, Jonathan, Georgia, Stacey, Sandy Creek NY, Erica, Adams NY, Jessica, Watertown, NY, Morgan, Seminole, Florida, Alyssa, Belleair, Florida and Garret ElPaso, Texas. She was Great Nana to 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mildred is predeceased by her husband of 44 years Gordon W Chrissley in 1987 and son David G. Chrissley in 1988.

Cremation has taken place, a memorial service and burial will be held in the spring.
