Obituary

Mildred A. Colligan, age 93 of Glen Park, passed away at Country Manor Nursing Home, Carthage Friday morning. Mildred was born June 23, 1920 in Watertown, the daughter of Henry and Louise Webert Ganter. She graduated from Brownville-Glen Park High School in 1937. Mildred married Ervin Colligan on August 31, 1940 at her parents' home in Watertown with the Rev. Frederick Vogt officiating. Ervin died in 2008. She worked part time at the Watertown Daily Times in the distribution department for many years. Mildred was a member of the Glen Park Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary and Allen-Giles American Legion Auxiliary, Brownville. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Dale and Kathy and David and Susan all of Dexter. She has 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. A son Gary E. and two sisters, Ermine and Frances died before her. A memorial service will be held December 18th at 8:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Calling hours will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M. prior to the service. Spring burial will be in North Watertown Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County 1398 Gotham St., Watertown or Glen Park Volunteer Fire Dept. 630 Main St., Glen Park, N.Y. 13601.
