Neil E. Stuart, age 83 of County Rte. 59, Dexter, N.Y. passed away at Hospice at Ellis Farm in Watertown, N.Y. Neil was born June 7, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA the son of Robert and Helen DuBree Stuart. He graduated from Manasquan High School in Manasquan PA and Monmouth University, W. Long Branch, N.J. Neil served for 43 years in the N.J. National Guard as Team Chief-Property Book Office; retiring in 1990. He married Rita Stryker on April 24, 1954 at St. Leo's Roman Catholic Church in Irvington, N.J. The couple lived in Belmar and West Belmar, N.J. until 1986 when they moved to Dexter. Neil was a member of the American Legion, AARP, Dexter Senior Citizens, Brownville Busy BeeGees, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and A warden of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Co-Chair Ministry Council and Executive Committee, N.R.A. He enjoyed collecting antique model cars, compasses and watch bands. He enjoyed his home on the water and his active church-life. Neil is survived by two daughters: Linda A. Payank of Lake Harmony, PA. and Carla and Arthur Culver of Pt. Pleasant, N.J. He has three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A sister Carol Maron of Wall, N.J. also survives. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas H. Stuart. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 26th at 12:00 P.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Brownville, N.Y. with Rev. Walter Giles officiating. Donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church Brownville, N.Y. 13615 in his name. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
