Obituary

"The suffering is over, Our eyes will water for a while; but the memories of our loved one will live on forever- for our Lord has taken him home and the peace in his soul will console our hearts until we meet again." Noah A. Prior age 79 formerly of Allen Dr. Watertown passed away at Summitt Villages December 26th after battling cancer for 19 months. Noah was born January 21, 1935 in Mannsville, the son of Noah and Wealtha McConnell Prior. A 1952 graduate of Lyme Central School in Chaumont. He married Shirley H. Stahl, July 31, 1954 in Brownville, NY. She passed away August 16, 2010. Noah worked 13 years data processing and computer department of Agricultural Insurance Co. of Watertown from June 1954 until July 1967. Director of data processing curriculum at Watertown School of Commerce. Vice-President-Director Watertown Computer Service. He also owned and operated Springledge Farms, Evans Mills with his wife. The couple moved to Guilderland, NY in 1987 and he was Senior technical analyst for Key Bank National Association Technologies Division, in Albany, NY before retiring in 2000. They returned to Watertown at this time. He is survived by 5 sons: Rick and Anne Prior of Mohawk, NY, Noah and Terry Prior of Theresa, Bruce and Sue Prior of Watertown, Jeffrey and Christine Prior of Johnstown, Todd and Debra Prior of Harpersfield. 2 Daughters: Rebecca and Randy Bushaw of Antwerp, Natalie and Robert Powell of Duanesburg. He has a brother-in-law: Edwin and Susan Wagner-White of New Jersey and 28 grand and step grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife and parents, in-laws Pearl and Bruce Getman, a daughter-in-law, Tammy Greenwood Prior, a Granddaughter, Mary Angelica Prior and a Grandson, Micah O. Prior. He was a former member of Pamelia Grange, Pamelia Fire Dept., Kiwanis of Watertown, NRA, and served as District Director of Eastern Milk Producers Cooperative Assn. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, golf and fishing. Funeral services will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Pastor David Daley officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
