Norma C. Dorr, 81, of 832 Mills St., Watertown, and formerly of Black River  passed Saturday, November 8 at the Samaritan Medical Center.

The funeral service will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, Nov 11 at the St. John's Episcopal Church.  Burial will follow in the Black River Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held 5 to 7 P.M.  Monday, Nov. 10 at the Bruce Funeral Home, Black River.

Born on April 8, 1933 in Watertown, NY, daughter of the late George J. and Mildred Mary Yando Capron, she graduated from WHS.

She married Richard J. Dorr on June 29, 1951 in Watertown.  The couple resided in Black River where they owned and operated the Dorr Farm up until 2001.  She and her husband also raised seven wonderful children.

She enjoyed playing cards, reading, puzzles, cooking, square dancing and she and her husband loved to travel.

Among her survivors are her loving husband of 63 years, Richard J. Dorr, Watertown; two sons and their wives, Lawrence and Brenda Dorr, Black River, Richard and Christina Dorr, Columbus, Ohio; five daughters and three sons in law, Bonnie Blankenship, Clarksburg, WV, Cathy Dorr, Watertown, Barbara and Ronald Sweitzer, Black River, Lori and Ed Kirby, NC, Tandy Dorr and her companion, Charles Beirman, Carthage; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
